INSPIRE Iceland

Hi family and friends! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done to help me get here. Your partnership has meant so much. I’m so excited to share a bit of what’s been happing last month as I served in Iceland and about what Lord is calling me into!

Ministry Update

Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to Iceland with INSPIRE. We spent a week there building relationships with the local missions team who volunteered alongside us during the event. While we had been praying and preparing for this outreach for over a year, actually being in Iceland and experiencing the culture firsthand gave us a completely different perspective on how to pray for and minister to the people there.

It was such a gift to arrive a few days early and connect with the missionaries serving in Iceland before our event started. Hearing their hearts, learning about the spiritual climate, and praying together before the event created such a strong sense of unity among us all.

God moved powerfully in Iceland — not only in the lives of the women and girls who attended the event, but within our own team as well. I was especially impacted by the missions team we served with. Looking back, I truly believe God sent me to Iceland not only for the event itself, but also for the people serving behind the scenes. Throughout the week, we encouraged one another, prayed together, and ministered to each other deeply. In such a short amount of time, these women became like family to me.

Because we had all spent so long praying for Iceland, there was such anticipation leading into the event. We had waited so long to see what God would do and He moved in incredible ways. Many women and girls encountered the love of Jesus during the weekend. One of the most touching moments for me was watching little girls run eagerly to receive their very own Bibles. Their hunger for God was so evident and beautiful to witness.

One testimony from the weekend especially impacted me. A 14-year-old girl attended the event with her mother. Her mother shared that she was autistic and typically would not make eye contact with others or allow anyone to touch her. During the Friday night service, the Lord began ministering to her in a powerful way. When she came forward for prayer, one of our mission team leaders gently touched her arm and for the first time, she did not pull away. Her mother immediately began to cry because she had never seen her daughter respond this way before.

The young girl began talking with the leader and expressed that she wanted to give her life to Jesus. After praying together, they walked over to receive a Bible and discuss next steps in her faith journey. Before leaving, the mission's leader gave her a “Share Your Story” card so she could write down what God had done in her life.

The next day, the girl returned to the event and immediately ran up to the leader, giving her a big hug. She shared with so much joy that she no longer felt consumed by anxiety and depression, and that she believed God had touched and changed her life. Her mother stood nearby in tears, overwhelmed by what God had done for her daughter after years of praying for her.

Watching this unfold was such a powerful reminder that God sees every person deeply and personally. To witness a young girl encounter the love of Jesus in such a tangible way is something I will never forget. We can minister to the masses but seeing one life completely transformed by God means the most. That’s why we do what we do. It's all for you.

Personal Update

I can hardly believe I’ve already been in Springfield for about four months. In some ways it feels like I’ve been here much longer, especially as I’ve begun to settle in and find my rhythm in the city. I’m no longer relying on GPS everywhere, which has been very nice. I can just go without thinking.

One of the biggest blessings has been finding a church community. I’ve connected with a church that is truly led by the Holy Spirit and filled with life. I deeply appreciate the pastors and the way they shepherd the congregation. Since attending, I’ve been consistently involved in their young adults ministry, and I’m planning to go through their Growth Track soon so I can begin serving. I’m really excited to continue getting connected and growing here, both spiritually and relationally, and to make this my home church.

God has also been faithful in bringing new friendships into my life. Many of the people I’ve met are college students, and while several of them have headed out for the summer, I’m grateful for the connections I’ve been able to build and the sense of community I’ve found. It’s been encouraging to see prayers answered so clearly especially my prayers for a healthy church family and meaningful relationships.

Recently, I also had the opportunity to go home for a week. I suprised my family and got to celebrate my brother’s college graduation, spend Mother’s Day with my family, and reconnect with friends. It was a really special time to have home with my family and friends.

In this season, I’ve been prayerfully considering my next steps and where the Lord is leading me. As I continue serving with INSPIRE and reaching women and girls around the world with the love of Jesus, I’ve sensed that God is calling me into deeper growth and preparation for ministry. After conversations with the founder of INSPIRE, I was encouraged to apply to Global University to pursue an online program for ministerial certification. I’m excited to share that I will be beginning classes to become a certified minister, allowing me to be further equipped for the work God has called me to through this ministry.

As I move forward, I will continue serving with INSPIRE while also beginning these classes. Because this training directly supports my role within INSPIRE and the mission we carry globally, these educational expenses are now being included as part of my ministry budget and overall fundraising goal. At this time, I am still working toward becoming fully funded financially.

Your continued partnership makes it possible for me not only to serve through INSPIRE, but also to continue growing in leadership, ministry training, and discipleship so I can better minister to the women and girls we encounter around the world. I am deeply grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support as I continue walking in this calling. I’m expectant for all God will continue to do through this next season of growth, both in ministry and in my personal walk with Him.
