October: A Little of Everything

“I may not know what the next season holds, but I’m so thankful for everything God has taught me in this one.”

October has flown by, and it’s hard to believe I only have four months left in Missouri! This season has gone by so quickly, and in some ways, I feel like I’m still trying to catch up. Between serving with INSPIRE, building friendships, and serving with my church, there has been so much happening. As I begin thinking about what comes next after INSPIRE, I can’t help but to be thankful for my time here and what I’ve already been able to experience. This has been a year of new, nothing that I have now is the same. I’m in a new state, new people, and new things! I just can’t believe that this has been my life for 9 months.

New Opportunities with INSPIRE

This month, I started working with our Europe District team in their offices. Since I manage INSPIRE’s online store, I was asked to help rebuild and reorganize their store as well!

Right now, I’m going through inventory, making sure all the numbers match, and creating a more efficient system for the team to use when preparing for events and mission trips. The goal is to make it easier for them to know what supplies to take, track what leaves the inventory, and keep everything organized so the process runs more smoothly.

It’s been nice to work in different environments and have a change of scenery! I’ve enjoyed getting to help other ministries.

A Weekend with My Church Family

I had the opportunity to attend a young adults retreat with my church this month, and it was SO good! There were about 12 of us from my church who went together, and we ended up doing just about everything as a group. It was so much fun getting to know everyone better and spending intentional time together outside of our usual routines.

The retreat was a time for young adults from across Missouri to step away from the busyness of life, reset, and grow in the Lord. Around 200 young adults attended, and throughout the weekend, we had different sessions that challenged us to grow in our faith and learn about a variety of topics.

One of my favorite parts was meeting a girl from Kansas City who had come by herself. I invited her to hang out with our group, and we made her part of our little church family for the weekend. I’m so glad she came! It was such a sweet reminder of how something as simple as making room for someone can help them feel welcomed and connected.

Budapest, Hungary!

On November 7th, I’ll be heading to Budapest, Hungary, to help lead a team ministering to the women and girls of Hungary! I’ll be flying there on my own and meeting my director from INSPIRE once I arrive. Together, we’ll lead a team 26 from Minnesota as we host an INSPIRE event. We want to Inspire the next generation to share their faith, make it normal, and apart of their daily lives!

I’ll be gone for about a week, returning on November 16th, and I’m feeling both excited and a little nervous! I’m so expectant for what God is going to do. I can’t wait to be back in Europe, build relationships with the women and girls there, and be a part of what God is doing through INSPIRE.

Please be praying for our team as we prepare, travel, and to minister to the women and girls of Hungary. Pray that we would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, that relationships would be built, and that many would come to know Jesus in a personal way. I’m so excited to see what God has in store!

Specific Prayer Needs:

  • That we will fly to Budapest and back safely and on time.

  • That God will lead and direct our steps.

  • That the women and girls of Hungary come with open hearts to receive what the Lord has for them.

  • That they catch the vision and mission that were called to share our story and Inspire the next girl to know Jesus.

  • Revival will break out in the city of Budapest.

  • That I will have a greater understanding of my next steps after my commitment with INSPIRE.
