INSPIRE July

July has been quite an eventful month! A lot has happened, and while some of it has been difficult, I can also see so many ways God has been moving and teaching me through it all.

One of the biggest blessings this month has been getting a new roommate! It has been so sweet having the opportunity to get to know her and experience our first month living together. I’m so grateful for the friendship and the blessing of having someone to share this season with.

Unfortunately, I’ve also been dealing with quite a few medical problems this month, which has made things a little difficult. I’ve been having issues with the tubes in my ears, and the doctors still haven’t figured out exactly what is wrong or found a solution yet. Later this month, while I was visiting my family in West Virginia, I also hurt my ankle pretty badly while playing volleyball. I ended up being non-weight-bearing for about a week, and I’m still in a boot. It is getting better, but it still hurts to walk normally. I was told I have a high-level sprain. Needless to say, I feel like I’ve spent most of July in a doctor’s office.

So, I would definitely appreciate your prayers as I continue to recover and seek answers.

INSPIRE

At the INSPIRE office, we have continued preparing for the fall. We’ve been asking ourselves, “What can we improve? How can we make our systems better?” I’ve had the opportunity to work on several different projects, including improving the INSPIRE newsletter and our Shopify store.

Now, as we head into August, things are beginning to get really busy as our events start at the end of the month. It’s exciting to see all of the preparation beginning to turn into action!

Alongside everything at INSPIRE, I’ve also continued taking my ministerial classes. It has honestly been really nice to be back in a learning environment! I recently had my first test, and it felt surprisingly good. I haven’t had to do classwork or take a test in about two years, so I feel like I’m retraining a part of my brain that hasn’t been used in a while.

A New Fire for Missions

One of the biggest highlights of this month was having the opportunity to attend a missions retreat for young adults who are interested in missions. I was invited by Melinda, the founder of INSPIRE, and honestly, I didn’t really know what I was signing up for.

But it was incredible.

It was a weekend focused on missions in Europe and the different opportunities available to serve there. I had the opportunity to connect with other young adults, missionaries, and people who have given their lives to serving across Europe. I built so many meaningful relationships and connections, and it was amazing to think that one day I could potentially serve in Europe and even serve alongside some of the incredible people I met.

There was so much mentoring throughout the weekend not just people pouring into me, but also opportunities for me to pour into others. We all had the opportunity to encourage, challenge, and learn from one another.

I am so grateful that I was invited and welcomed into that space.

God gave me new ideas and, more importantly, a new fire.

A deeper passion to see the lost saved.

Sometimes we can look around and forget just how many people are walking through life lost without even realizing it. That weekend refreshed my spirit and reminded me that I need to share my faith more boldly and put more action behind the things God has placed on my heart.

God doesn’t give you dreams for no reason.

Use them. Pursue them. And do them for HIS glory.

I believe the Lord is leading me into a new season of stepping out in faith. And honestly, that can be a little scary because there is so much unknown. But I keep coming back to Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Would You Pray With Me?

As I look toward the future, I would love for you to partner with me in prayer.

Pray that I will have faith that the Lord will provide everything I need for the next steps He is calling me into. I want to remember that it’s HIS timing is not mine. HIS path not just simply my own desires or dreams but that HIS will, WILL done.

I want to take the right steps toward where He is calling me. I want to make sure I am following His direction and not simply running after something because it is what I want.

So, please pray for wisdom, discernment, courage, and faith as I step into this next season.

Thank you so much for continuing to pray for me, encourage me, and support me. You have no idea how grateful I am for each and every one of you.

Y’all inspire me to be here. You inspire me to serve.

I truly could not be here without YOU.

Thank you for partnering with me in what God is doing!
